Water

Artificial lake in lowland terrain with a surface area of 19 hectares and a catchment area of 10–100 square kilometres. Maximum depth is approximately 12 metres with a mean depth of 12 metres. Water level fluctuations average 3 metres over a 16-year water management period. The lake bed consists of sand and silt. Water renewal occurs through groundwater flow with a water exchange time exceeding 30 days. The water body is stratified.

The risk of cyanobacterial mass development is low, with no cyanobacterial blooms observed in the past four years. The risk of phytoplankton mass development is low. Macroalgae including filamentous algae present a moderate risk but currently require no intervention. Bird populations are present but have no identified impact on water quality.
