Všemina Retention Reservoir is a small bathing water body located at an elevation of 390 metres. The reservoir covers an area of 5 hectares with a basic hydrological characteristic of 0.031. The bathing area features a grassy beach with sandy, muddy, and paved bottom sections extending 130 metres along the shore. The water quality has been rated as satisfactory in recent years, with excellent microbiological conditions and low cyanobacteria levels.

Location

Operated by the municipality of Všemina in the Zlín Region. The reservoir is located in a watershed area of 2.4 square kilometres.

Facilities

Paddling pool, sports arena with climbing wall, rope course, high obstacles, volleyball court, refreshment stand, nearby hotel with restaurant.

Water Quality

Overall monitoring assessment is satisfactory. Microbiological contamination is excellent. Cyanobacteria levels are low with no algal bloom formation. Phosphorus content data is insufficient for evaluation. Chlorophyll a concentrations range up to 30 micrograms per litre seasonally. Occasional minor transparency limit breaches occur. The last two years showed no risk for swimmers according to competent health authority assessment.

Risks

Short-term contamination occurs. Risk of contamination during flood conditions at inflow. Internal pollution sources from recreational users and fish stocking present moderate risk.
