Waldsee Wemding is a natural bathing lake located approximately 2 km northeast of the historic old town of Wemding. The recreation area is equipped with water rescue services, parking, toilets, a kiosk, and several sunbathing meadows. A campground is located adjacent to the lake.

Water Quality

Water quality classification based on EU Bathing Water Directive using conformity calculations from 2021 to 2024. All samples tested between May and September 2025 were bacteriologically unobjectionable. Escherichia coli levels ranged from <10 to 87 MPN/100 ml. Intestinal enterococci levels ranged from <10 to 21 MPN/100 ml.
