Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021: Insufficient quality. Monitoring shows recurring exceedances of microbiological parameters. E. coli threshold: 1000 CFU/100 ml. Enterococci threshold: 400 CFU/100 ml. Pollution sources identified include water stagnation at the bathing site location. Despite investigations of inflows and nearby wastewater treatment facilities, no specific contamination sources were identified. Water quality has not improved over multiple seasons.

Risks

Persistent microbiological contamination from E. coli and enterococci. Water stagnation at the site prevents natural water quality improvement. Multiple bathing bans imposed during swimming season due to microbiological exceedances.
