Location

Andora, Province of Savona, Liguria. The competent authority is the Comune di Andora, Via Cavour 94, 17051. The Guardia Costiera (Coast Guard) office is located at Lungomare Matteotti n. 4/b, 17100.

Private beach facilities with associated services are present in nearby zones. Animals are permitted access to the area.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008-2011). No coastal wastewater treatment plants, discharge pipes, or Imhoff tanks are present in the area. The water body is characterised by oligotrophic conditions.

Risks

The Ligurian Sea is not characterised by cyanobacterial blooms due to its predominant oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have occurred in the past four years.
