Location

Brindisi, Puglia region, Italy. The bathing area is located at the southern boundary of the Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area (AMP) in Brindisi municipality.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No sewage discharge points deliver urban wastewater to sea. No watercourse mouths or channels are present that could convey pollution sources to the bathing area. No short-duration pollution events were recorded in the past four years.

Risks

The area is not characterized by algal or cyanobacterial blooms. No cases of potentially toxic algal proliferation have been detected. No cyanobacterial or macroalgal proliferation events were reported in the past four years.
