A sandy bathing beach located near the mouth of the Osento River in Casalbordino, Abruzzo. The beach has an area of 0.446 km and accommodates 300–400 swimmers. It features residual dune vegetation and a former pine forest area converted to public parkland. The beach narrows approaching the river mouth.

Water Quality

Classification: Good. Pressure sewage pipes and pumping stations are present in the zone. No unconnected settlements exist. Parameter exceedances may depend on irregular discharges upstream on the Osento River.

Risks

Marine waters in the Abruzzi area have not presented characteristic cyanobacterial blooms. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation events have been verified. Occasional dinoflagellate blooms with scarce or absent toxic species have been recorded in past years during summer.
