Terracina, Latina province, Lazio region, Italy. The bathing area extends from Porto San Felice Circeo to Punta Stendardo. No parking information is provided.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated. Profile last updated in March 2011 with review scheduled for 2012. Two urban wastewater treatment plants serving over 2000 equivalent inhabitants are active in the reference municipality. No specific monitoring programmes are currently active to monitor pollutant concentrations and limit their diffusion.

Risks

Marine phytobentos (Ostreopsis) blooms occur during summer months. Shellfish farming identified as a pollution source. Short-duration pollution events under study for appropriate modelling approaches.
