A sandy beach located 150 meters north of the Foce fiume V. Mulino (V. Mulino River mouth) in San Salvo, Abruzzo. The beach has an average width of 50 meters and accommodates approximately 500 bathers. The surrounding area is 70% urbanized with residential and tourist buildings, while the remainder consists of equipped areas, parks, and gardens. A tourist port occupies a portion of the area, marked with appropriate signage.

Water quality classification: Excellent. The Fosso Mulino has been identified as a source of short-duration pollution events. A single wastewater treatment plant serves the area, located in Montenero di Bisaccia at the border with San Salvo. No specific monitoring measures are currently active.

Risks

Fosso Mulino stream is identified as a source of short-duration pollution events currently under study. Marine waters in the Abruzzese area occasionally experience sparse summer algal blooms; dinoflagellate blooms have occurred in past years with little or no toxic species present. No cyanobacteria blooms have been recorded.
