West Imera River is a coastal bathing water area located in Termini Imerese, Sicily. The beach extends along the seafloor and is bounded to the east by the mouth of the Imera River. The zone is situated amid sparse residential structures and sparse Mediterranean vegetation. The area has been classified as Excellent for water quality from 2019 to 2024.

Location

Termini Imerese, Palermo Province, Sicily. The bathing area extends 1,000 metres along the coast, bounded to the east by the Imera River mouth. Coordinates: 37.9789-13.8125 to 37.9811-13.8186.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2019-2024). No bathing prohibitions are in place. No short-duration pollution events have been reported.

Risks

The river mouth has been identified as a source of potential pollution impact. No cyanobacterial proliferation events have been reported. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation events have been reported.
