Location

Bracciano, Rome Province, Lazio Region. The bathing area extends 699 meters along the lake shore at an altitude of 165 meters above sea level.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is elevated. No specific monitoring measures are currently active to monitor pollutant concentrations during the bathing season. There are no urban wastewater treatment plants with capacity over 2000 person-equivalents in the municipality.

Risks

Mollusc farming is identified as a pollution source. Short-duration pollution events are still under study for an appropriate modelling approach. No cyanobacterial proliferation events were recorded in the previous four years. No toxic effects on bathers or aquatic environments were verified.
