This bathing water is located 250 meters downstream on the right bank of the Fosso Santa Maria Morgana creek mouth near Santa Marinella in the Lazio region. The area extends for 164 meters along the coast. The beach is characterized by sandy structure with nearby creek mouths. The water body is part of the Mignone-Arrone Sud hydrographic basin and is classified as having elevated quality.

Coastal bathing water (Categoria C). Part of the Mignone-Arrone Sud hydrographic basin. Area extends for 164 meters. Characterized by sandy beach with submerged sandy structure and nearby creek mouths.

Location

Santa Marinella, Province of Rome, Lazio region. Located 250 meters downstream on the right bank of Fosso Santa Maria Morgana creek mouth, in the water body extending from Fiume Mignone to Rio Fiume.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: elevated. Monitoring conducted at 95th and 90th percentiles. No active specific monitoring programs are currently in place for tracking pollutant concentrations during the bathing season. Two urban treatment plants serving populations over 2000 inhabitants/equivalents are operational in the municipality.

Risks

The area is subject to occasional blooms of macroalgae and/or potentially toxic microalgae. Shellfish cultivation is present. Short-duration pollution events are under evaluation for adequate modelling approaches. No anomalous situations have been recorded.
