Water quality classification: good. Monitoring indicates good quality parameters at the 95th and 90th percentiles. However, no specific active monitoring currently exists to monitor pollutant concentrations. Urban wastewater treatment is provided by three active urban treatment plants serving over 2000 population equivalents in the municipality.

Risks

Nearby foci and watercourses are present. Shellfish farming activities are identified as a pollution source. Short-duration pollution events are still under study for appropriate modeling approaches.
