A pebble beach located 250 metres north of the Tordino River mouth in Giulianova, Abruzzo. The beach has an average width of approximately 30 metres and is classified as excellent quality. The surrounding area contains no residential settlements or bathing infrastructure.

Coastal marine water. The bathing area extends 0.100 square kilometres and is part of the Tordino River watershed.

Location

Giulianova, Teramo province, Abruzzo region. Located on the Adriatic coast 250 metres north of the Tordino River mouth.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The Tordino River mouth is identified as a potential pollution source. Wastewater treatment occurs through a municipal sewerage system and riverside collectors that discharge into the Tordino River at the Colleranesco treatment plant.

Risks

River mouth discharge. Sparse algal blooms occur during summer months. Past years have recorded some dinoflagellate blooms with scarce or absent toxic species. No cyanobacteria blooms have been documented in marine waters of the Abruzzo area.
