A sandy and rocky beach located 300 metres south of the Tordino River mouth in Roseto degli Abruzzi, Abruzzo. The beach features pebbles, exposed cliffs, and wooden groynes approximately 15 metres long. The beach is approximately 35 metres wide and classified as having sufficient water quality.

Water

Coastal marine water body. The bathing area covers approximately 0.300 square kilometres. The water body is classified as coastal waters with medium stability characteristics.

Location

Roseto degli Abruzzi, Province of Teramo, Abruzzo region. The beach is situated on the coastal plain south of the Tordino River mouth. Managed by the Port Authority and the Municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi.

Camping site, first aid and assistance services, toilet facilities, food and beverage outlets.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Sufficient. The bathing water is affected by treated wastewater discharges from a treatment plant located in Villa Pozzoni, Giulianova. The plant operates with three activated sludge lines and final disinfection, with treated effluent meeting the limits of Italian Legislative Decree 152/06. Marine waters in the Abruzzo area have not shown characteristic cyanobacterial blooms and have exhibited sparse algal blooms in summer with low presence or absence of toxic dinoflagellate species.
