A 40–50 metre-wide pebbly beach located 400 metres north of the Chienti River mouth near Civitanova Marche. The area is densely urbanised. The beach is closed to public bathing due to clay pigeon shooting activities conducted by the Tiro a volo Cluana society.

Classification history: 2015 Sufficient (E. coli 90th percentile 270.7 CFU/100 ml, intestinal enterococci 95th percentile 96.7 CFU/100 ml); 2016–2018 Good (E. coli 95th percentile ranging 361.4–386.5 CFU/100 ml, intestinal enterococci 95th percentile ranging 36–185.1 CFU/100 ml). The Civitanova Marche biological wastewater treatment plant serving 100,000 population equivalents has demonstrated good treatment efficiency with parameters COD, BOD, total suspended solids, and E. coli consistently compliant during the bathing season.

Risks

Clay pigeon shooting activities render the area closed to public bathing. The Chienti River mouth is identified as a pollution source.
