A sandy beach located 650 metres south of Torrente Buonanotte in San Salvo, Abruzzo. The beach has a medium width of approximately 80 metres and attracts an average daily attendance of around 3,000 bathers. The surrounding area is 70% urbanised with residential and tourist buildings, while the remainder comprises equipped parks and gardens. The water body is classified as coastal waters with medium stability.

San Salvo, Province of Chieti, Abruzzo region. Multiple beach establishments (Le Marinelle, Il Panfilo, Il Calimero, Happydays, Il Vascello, El Domingo, Macondo Beach, Il Cocorito, Mirage, Il Soleado, Playa Ermosa) with reserved parking, connecting pathways from parking to beach entrance, ramps and platforms at beach entrances.

Facilities

Toilets, changing rooms, showers, bar, accessible pathways to the sea, children's play areas, information panels on free beach sections, beach equipment rental, ramps and platforms for disabled access, reserved parking, informational signage on water quality data (Blue Flag certification).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: EXCELLENT. Marine waters in the Abruzzo area have not shown characteristic cyanobacteria blooms. No macroalgae or phytoplankton proliferation events have been recorded. Sparse algal blooms occur during summer months. Dinoflagellate blooms with scarce or no toxic species presence were recorded in previous years.

Risks

Torrente Buonanotte identified as a pollution source. Regional ordinance prohibits animals on the beach.
