AC Amarin is a partially cultivated rocky beach located in Rovinj, Croatia. The beach spans 650 metres in length with an average width of 30 metres and features a convex coastal shape with moderate underwater slope. Low vegetation including grass and bushes surrounds the beach. The beach maintains an average sea temperature of 24.05°C during the swimming season with salinity levels ranging from 34.2 to 39.3 PSU.

Location

Rovinj, Monsena area. Access is via pedestrian path. Free parking is available. The beach is located at coordinates 45.1051°N, 13.6128°E and 45.1036°N, 13.6167°E.

Facilities

Restaurant, shower, trashcan. Floating safety lines provide sea-side protection across the beach front. High bather density during the season.

Season

Monitoring occurs annually throughout the year with 10 samples per year conducted since 2009.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually with 10 samples per year since 2009. Multi-year assessment periods (40 samples over 4 years) have been conducted. Water quality classifications recorded include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor designations under both Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EC standards.
