Adraga is a long sandy beach located in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Bathers and fishermen share the wide sandy area. The beach facility is positioned against a steep slope cut through Jurassic limestone rocks.

Municipality of Sintra. Coordinates: LAT 38.803522°, LONG -9.485691° (ETRS89).

Season

12 June to 12 September 2021. Sampling frequency: triweekly.

Water Quality

Water quality classification 2020 according to Decreto-Lei 135/09 (June 3rd) amended by Decreto-Lei 113/2012 (May 23rd). No significant microbiological pollution sources identified near the bathing water. No history of short-term pollution events during the 2020 bathing season.

Risks

Cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton proliferation are all unlikely. If a pollution event affecting water quality occurs, bathing will be advised against or prohibited, and warning signs will be posted.
