Ancona di Bellocchio lies within a protected state reserve near the Bellocchio pinewood, along the Adriatic coast close to Spina Camping Village. The beach borders wetlands and nesting areas for species such as the Kentish Plover, with sections of undeveloped shoreline and limited facilities. Access is on foot, dogs are not permitted, and pink flamingos can occasionally be seen in the surrounding lagoon.
