Coastal bathing water located on a beach in the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, within Natura 2000 and RAMSAR protected sites. The beach has restricted use due to its association with sensitive natural systems. The immersed sandy substrate may contain mud and hollows. Ocean currents are particularly felt during tidal changes. Beach length is 500 metres with a tidal range of 3.4 metres and mean wave height of 0.5 metres.
