Water

Ašarėnos River. Type 1 water body. Average water depth 1.5 meters (1.3 meters in designated children's area), maximum depth 2.5 meters. Beach length 200 meters. Average annual runoff 18.1 cubic meters per second. Water exchange time and daily water level fluctuations measured in meters. Vegetation includes common reed, bluish sedge, cylindrical sedge, May sedge, Canadian waterweed, floating frogbit, and common club-rush.

Location

Located in Kėdainiai district, Pelėdnagiai administrative unit, Lithuania. The site is administered by Kėdainiai district municipality and Pelėdnagiai local government office.

Facilities

Two toilets. Children's playground. Volleyball court. Fishing zone. Two car parking areas. Waste bins and household waste collection containers. Dogs prohibited on beach.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2018–2024). EU Directive 2006/7/EB requirements met. Water quality assessed as excellent from 2018 to 2024. Monitoring will be updated if quality changes from excellent to good, satisfactory, or poor.

Risks

Possible short-term pollution during heavy rainfall, resolving within 1–2 days. Possible pollution from garden owners in adjacent Pašiliai collective garden plots applying various fertilizers and not adhering to environmental requirements, and during heavy rainfall or floods. Possible eutrophication impact. Nutrient levels and algae blooms not actively monitored.
