Badesee Sommercamp Otterndorf is a 5.2-hectare inland lake located approximately 4 km west of Otterndorf city centre and 15 km from Cuxhaven, near the North Sea coast at the mouth of the Elbe in Cuxhaven district. The lake is situated on the grounds of Sommercamp Otterndorf and is owned and managed by the state capital Hanover. Public access is not permitted; the bathing lake is available exclusively to summer camp guests.

Water

Inland lake with an area of approximately 5.2 hectares. Includes a separate non-swimmer area on the eastern side with a sandy beach approximately 110 m long, and a swimmer area on the southeastern side with a bathing area approximately 50 m long and a dock.

Location

Approximately 4 km west of Otterndorf city centre, approximately 15 km from Cuxhaven, in the Cuxhaven district near the North Sea coast at the Elbe estuary. Coordinates: 53.8300° North, 8.8394° East.

Non-swimmer area with sandy beach, swimmer area with dock, paddle boats, canoes, playground, sailing area, grilling facilities with amphitheatre-style seating, football fields, volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts.
