The Nordseebad Otterndorf-Südsee is the southernmost lake of the Achtern Diek water and landscape holiday park, located approximately 2 km northwest of Otterndorf city centre. It sits about 200 m from the Elbe estuary and is situated in a rural, peaceful setting on the dike in Cuxhaven district. A surf school with jetty, bathing area, and pedal and paddle boat rental operates on the eastern shore. The lake connects to the North Sea via See Achtern Diek.
