Nordseebad Otterndorf - See Achtern Diek is a bathing lake located approximately 2 km northwest of Otterndorf city centre in the Cuxhaven district. The bathing area is situated in a rural, idyllic setting at the dike, approximately 200 m from the Elbe estuary. The north side of the lake features two bathing areas with artificial sandy beaches, a separated non-swimmer zone, and a reinforced bathing island with DLRG supervision.
