Wangermeer is an artificial freshwater lake covering approximately 100 hectares located in Hohenkirchen, the main town of the North Sea coastal municipality of Wangerland. The lake offers a wide range of holiday, residential, and leisure facilities. The Dorf Wangerland holiday park on the western shore features a hotel and leisure complex with 230 three-star superior hotel rooms, restaurants, bars, a children's club, indoor play areas, entertainment programs, bowling and skittles lanes, a cinema, gymnasium, bicycle and boat rentals, sports facilities, and a convention centre. A hotel beach section adjoins the lake where visitors can swim and relax or explore the leisure lake by pedalo.
