Coastal bathing water located on an urban beach with intensive use near an urban area. The beach features golden sand on a wide sandy bay adjacent to a wetland formed at the mouth of Alcantarilha watercourse. The beach area is partially used by small fishing boats. The beach extends 274 metres along the coast.
