Praia Grande Nascente is a coastal bathing water located on a beach with restricted use due to sensitive natural ecosystems. The beach features wide golden sand with dunes and typical vegetation. To the east lies Lagoa dos Salgados wetland. The beach extends 120 metres with a tidal range of 3.4 metres and mean wave height of 0.5 metres, with predominant northwest winds.
