Water Quality

Water classification for 2025 is excellent. Monitoring results show E. coli concentrations ranging from 15-46 jtk(NPL)/100 ml and Enterococci ranging from 3-15 jtk(NPL)/100 ml in 2025. Maximum permissible concentrations are 1000 jtk(NPL)/100 ml for E. coli and 400 jtk(NPL)/100 ml for Enterococci. All water quality assessments in 2025 indicate water suitable for bathing.

Risks

Cyanobacterial algal blooms have not been observed in the last four years. Risk of cyanobacterial proliferation is low. Potential water contamination may occur from heavy atmospheric rainfall, soil subsidence, or human vandalism due to the absence of water inflows to the excavated reservoir.
