Bostelim is a river beach located in Ribeira de Isna, situated near a bridge over the Bostelim stream. The beach develops in a mountainous forested area close to the settlement of Cabeça do Poço, on the banks of the Isna River.

Season

June 15th to September 15th, 2021. Biweekly sampling frequency.

Water Quality

Water quality classified under Decreto-Lei 135/09 of June 3rd, altered by Decreto-Lei 113/2012 of May 23rd. No significant microbiological pollution sources have been identified in the area. There is no history of short-term pollution events. No days of bathing prohibition or advisory occurred during the 2020 bathing season.

Risks

The potential for proliferation of cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton is unlikely. In case of a pollution event affecting water quality, bathing will be advised against or prohibited, and warning signs will be posted at the bathing water.
