Pego Das Cancelas

Pego das Cancelas is a river beach with good support infrastructures located approximately 13 kilometres from Vila de Rei. The site features the Ponte dos Três Concelhos (Bridge of the Three Counties), where the municipalities of Vila de Rei, Sertã and Mação converge. A multipurpose recreational space is available with facilities for volleyball.

Facilities

Multipurpose recreational space with volleyball facilities.

Season

June 15th to September 15th (2021 season). Biweekly sampling frequency.

Water Quality

Water quality classification established in 2020 under Decreto-Lei 135/09 (June 3rd) as amended by Decreto-Lei 113/2012 (May 23rd). No significant microbiological pollution sources exist in the area of influence. No short-term pollution events were recorded in the 2020 bathing season.
