Calanca is a pebble beach located in the municipality of Camerota in the Cilento region. The beach is situated along a rocky, limestone coastline with an inlet formation. The area features moderate urbanization with agricultural areas and tourist structures, and is characterized by an offshore islet facing the bay.

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020–2023). Monitoring conducted by ARPAC and local health authorities.

Risks

Possible contamination sources include potential ruptures in submarine discharge pipes serving sedimentation tanks at Calanca locality, and discharge points at the eastern root of the marina breakwater.
