Praia a Mare, province of Cosenza, Calabria region. The bathing area covers 1.553 square kilometers.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The bathing water is affected by two identified pollution sources: the mouth of Torrente Cavaliere and the mouth of Vallone del Cancero. Short-term pollution events are caused by rainwater runoff from urban centres.

Risks

No cyanobacterial or algal blooms have been recorded in the sea or inland waters in the past four years.
