Location

Lesina, Foggia province, Puglia region. The bathing area extends from the western shore of Lesina Lagoon to La Punta locality.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No direct wastewater discharges to sea. The mouth of Canale Pontone at the northern boundary is identified as a potential point source of pollution. No short-duration pollution events recorded in the past four years.

Risks

Mouth of Canale Pontone identified as potential pollution source. No cyanobacterial blooms detected. No cases of potentially toxic algal proliferation recorded in the past four years.
