Canale Asciatazza is a sandy and pebbly bathing beach located 200 metres to the right of the river mouth in Rodi Garganico, Puglia. The bathing water is classified as excellent for the period 2017–2020. The area covers 0.593 square kilometres and is situated within the Vico del Gargano hydrographic basin.

Location

Rodi Garganico, Province of Foggia, Puglia region, Italy. Located 200 metres to the right of the Foce Varano-Peschici.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No direct wastewater discharges to sea are present. No short-duration pollution events were recorded in the last four years.

Risks

The Canale Asciatazza river mouth is located at the eastern boundary of the bathing area. No algal or cyanobacterial blooms have been recorded. No toxic algal species proliferation has been detected.
