Canale Asciatazza is a sandy beach bathing area located 200 metres to the left of the mouth of the Asciatazza Canal in the Varano-Peschici water body. The water has been classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2017–2020. No cyanobacterial blooms or toxic algal proliferation has been detected. No short-term pollution events have been recorded in the past four years.

Location

Rodi Garganico, province of Foggia, Puglia region, Italy. The bathing area is situated at the mouth of Canale Asciatazza, 200 metres to the left of the foce (mouth).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No direct wastewater discharges to sea are present in the area. The Asciatazza Canal mouth at the western boundary represents a potential point source of pollution.

The mouth of Canale Asciatazza at the western edge of the bathing area represents a potential point source of pollution, though no specific pollution events have been documented in the past four years.
