Lido Gabbiano is a sandy beach bathing area located in Rodi Garganico, Puglia, in the marine-coastal water body Foce Varano-Peschici. The bathing water has been classified as excellent based on monitoring data from 2017–2020. No short-term pollution events have been recorded in the past four years, and there have been no reports of algal blooms or toxic species proliferation.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). The main potential pollution source is the Rodi Garganico wastewater treatment plant with a submarine outfall for treated civil and industrial discharges. No short-term pollution events have been recorded in the past four years.

Risks

The area is not characterized by algal blooms or cyanobacterial proliferation. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been detected in the past four years.
