Located 500 meters north of central Cerano in the municipality of Brindisi, Brindisi province, Puglia region, Italy.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). Potential pollution sources include the ENEL Federico II Cerano thermoelectric power plant discharge at the southern boundary and the Li Siedi Canal mouth. No direct wastewater discharges to sea are present. No short-term pollution events were recorded in the past four years.

Risks

The ENEL Federico II Cerano thermoelectric power plant discharge and the Li Siedi Canal mouth are identified as potential sources of water quality impact. No cyanobacteria blooms or toxic algal proliferation have been recorded. No anomalous events have been verified.
