Capo Zafferano is a coastal bathing area located in Santa Flavia, Sicily. The area features a sandy beach that transitions to protruding rocks extending into the sea. It is situated in a zone near residential structures whose visitor numbers increase during summer months. The area extends for 1,200 metres along the coast.

Water quality classification: Excellent (2019–2024). No bathing prohibitions are in place. No short-term pollution events have been reported. No anomalous situations have been reported.

Risks

Although the area is located near zones of high human development, no cyanobacterial proliferation events, macroalgae proliferation events, phytoplankton proliferation events, or potentially toxic species have been reported.
