Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No coastal treatment plants, Imhoff tanks, or specific monitoring measures are in place. Cyanobacterial blooms do not occur due to predominantly oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation have been recorded.
