Croce Rossa is a sandy beach located in the urban centre of Diano Marina in the Liguria region of Italy. The beach is classified as excellent quality based on water quality assessments from 2008–2011. The bathing water body extends across 0.616 square kilometres and is influenced by the Rio Mortole and Torrente Varcavello watercourses. The Ligurian Sea at this location is characterised by oligotrophic conditions that prevent cyanobacterial blooms.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2008–2011). No coastal treatment plants or Imhoff tanks are present. Cyanobacterial bloom risk assessment indicates the Ligurian Sea's oligotrophic conditions prevent such proliferation. No cases of potentially toxic algal strains have been recorded in the last four years.
