Crveni otok - Prema rtu Kurent is a partially cultivated beach located on Red Island near Rovinj, Croatia. The beach features a predominantly pebbly surface with rocky sections and is lined with trees. It stretches 190 meters in length with an average width of 20 meters, characterized by a mild coastal slope and a wavelike shoreline.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature during the season is 23.86°C. Salinity ranges from 35 to 39.2. Tide amplitude is 48.9 cm. Underwater coastal slope is moderate (15–25 degrees). Prevailing wind is north-east.

Location

Rovinj, on Crveni otok (Red Island). Access is via pedestrian path. No parking available.

Facilities

Changing room. Boat docking is located more than 100 meters away from the beach.

Season

Monitoring conducted year-round with annual assessments comprising 10 samples per year.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually with 10 samples per year since 2009. Four-year assessment periods show consistent monitoring with 40 samples per period under both Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EC. Quality classifications range from excellent to poor.
