Crveni otok - Uvala zapadno od nasipa is a cultivated beach located on the Red Island near Rovinj, Croatia. The beach features a concrete structure surface with pebbles and is bordered by trees. It is a hotel beach with an indented coastline and mild coastal slope, measuring 200 metres long and 20 metres wide. The beach is protected by floating safety lines and holds Blue Flag status.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature during the season is 23.75°C. Salinity ranges from 35 to 39.4 during the season. Tide amplitude is 48.9 cm. Underwater coastal slope is moderate, ranging from 15 to 25 degrees. Prevailing wind is north-east.

Location

Rovinj, Crveni otok. Access is by pedestrian path. No parking available at the beach.

Monitoring conducted annually from 2009 to 2025.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually since 2009 with 10 samples per year under both Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ. Final assessments covering four-year periods from 2009–2012 through 2022–2025 each include 40 samples. Quality classifications of excellent, good, sufficient, and poor have been recorded.
