Dramont Beach is a 400-metre public beach located in the Dramont district of Saint-Raphaël, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. The beach consists of sand in the upper section and pebbles in the lower section, with a maximum width of 68 metres. It is classified as a Sensitive Natural Area and has excellent water quality. The beach has historical significance as the landing site of Allied forces during Operation Dragoon on 15 August 1944.

Mediterranean Sea. Beach area: 27,200 m². Swimming zone: approximately 18,372 m². Beach length: 400 m. Maximum width: 68 m. Open cove configuration. Water circulation flows from east to west. Coastal currents typically below 0.12 m/s, reaching maximum 0.4 m/s during exceptional storm conditions.

Dramont district of Saint-Raphaël (Var). Access via Route de la Corniche (RD 559). Free parking available on the road near the beach.

2 showers. 1 disabled access facility (PMR UFR). 3 fixed toilets. Free parking on road. Maritime buoying of swimming zone. Lifeguard post.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as 'EXCELLENT' by ARS (Regional Health Authority). No particular pollution identified. Sampling points for sanitary monitoring identified by Draguignan Laboratory (point 256). Monitoring conducted regularly.

Risks

Three wastewater pumping stations identified as potential pollution sources in case of malfunction or overload from heavy rainfall: PR Dramont (110 m³/day average, no overflow protection), PR Débarquement (6 m³/day average, located near swimming zone with no overflow protection), and PR Poussaï (2 m³/day average, no overflow protection). Rainwater drainage previously present but removed. Water renewal time varies from approximately 1.5 hours (8 m/s wind) to 5.5 hours (2 m/s wind).
