Camp Long is a public sandy beach located in the Agay district of Saint-Raphaël on the Mediterranean coast. The beach measures approximately 154 metres in length with a maximum width of 30 metres and a total beach area of 4,620 square metres. It is situated at the western end of Agay Bay between Pointe de Camp Long and the Longues Pointes, accessible via Route de la Corniche (RD 559). The bathing zone covers approximately 1,058 square metres and extends to 80 metres from the shoreline.

Mediterranean Sea. Bathing zone area approximately 1,058 square metres, extending 80 metres from the shoreline. Sandy beach configuration with a closed bay orientation. Water circulation flows from East to West with low water renewal time. Coastal currents typically have velocities less than 0.12 m/s, increasing to maximum 0.4 m/s during storm events.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as 'Good' as of 2016 by ARS, reclassified from 'Excellent' (2008-2015) based on four-year analysis period. Clear seawater with no particular pollution. Two exceedances of regulatory limits for Escherichia coli and three for intestinal Enterococci observed in analytical studies from 2008-2016. Monitoring point reference: 2757 (Draguignan Laboratory).

Risks

Potential stormwater discharge via concrete outfall 1.40 metres wide and 0.80 metres high crossing the beach midpoint, collecting from 38,607 hectares catchment area. Wastewater pump station at western beach extremity with potential overflow risk during equipment malfunction or heavy rainfall events. Risk of Ostreopsis spp. algal blooms due to rocky habitat near the bathing zone, particularly during low-wind summer periods. Potential impact from Agay treatment plant discharge located 1 kilometre east, dependent on unfavourable current conditions.
