Alange Reservoir is a continental artificial lake located in the municipality of Alange in Badajoz province, Extremadura, Spain. The bathing zone is situated in the southern part of the municipality, known as the Roman Baths or Termas Romanas area. The reservoir is formed by damming the waters of the Matachel and Palomillas rivers, along with other minor watercourses. The bathing area features a sandy beach with small stones and fine sand, and is surrounded by diverse vegetation including cork oaks, pines, and oleanders.

Alange Reservoir is an artificial lake formed by a gravity dam constructed of concrete. The reservoir surface area is 5,144 hectares with a volume of 852 cubic hectolitres. The dam is approximately 700 metres long with a height exceeding 67 metres. The reservoir bed comprises small stones and fine sand.

Location

The bathing zone is located in the municipality of Alange, in the southern area known as Balneario or Termas Romanas. Access is via road BA-005, following signs from the town of Alange towards Termas Romanas. Parking is available at the site.

Facilities

Parking, lifeguard posts, informational signs, bar/snack bar, picnic areas, trash bins, showers, boat dock, recreational area, barbecue facilities. No toilets or public drinking fountains are available.
