The beach at Face au CD 135E is located on the western coast of the Manche department in the commune of Breville sur Mer. The beach is 300 meters long with a width of 400 meters at high tide coefficients ≥95, featuring fine sand and a gentle slope. It is monitored for bathing water quality and has a rescue post with lifeguards present during the bathing season.

Location

Breville sur Mer, located on the west coast of the Manche department between the communes of Coudeville sur Mer to the north, Longueville to the east, and Donville les Bains to the south. Parking available with over 100 unmarked spaces.

Facilities

Rescue post with lifeguards present. No sanitary facilities on the beach. Beach cleaning maintained by the commune. Parking with over 100 spaces available.

15 June to 15 September

Water Quality

Water quality monitoring conducted since 1987. Escherichia coli concentrations: 96% of measurements since 1999 are below the guide value of 100 E.coli/100 ml. The highest recorded concentration was 397 E.coli/100 ml on 31 August 2011, which remains unexplained as no precipitation or sanitation system failures occurred in the preceding 72 hours.
