Feringasee is a recreational lake in Unterföhring created between 1974 and 1976 from gravel extraction for motorway construction. The lake covers 320,000 m² of water surface with a maximum depth of approximately 7 metres and is fed by groundwater sources with a natural outflow. It is a popular gathering place for people of all ages, featuring a naturist peninsula, a designated surfing area, and an ecological wetland habitat along the northern shore.
