Fornare

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Fornare is a bathing water area located on the west-facing shore of Lake Garda near Torri del Benaco in the Veneto region. The beach extends from the base of the embankment supporting state road SS249 and a consortium collector. The beach width ranges from 5 to 10 metres. The water body covers an area of 0.875 square kilometres.

Torri del Benaco, Verona Province, Veneto Region. The bathing area is situated in the northern zone of Torri del Benaco municipality. Competent authority: Municipality of Torri del Benaco, Port Authority, Guardia Costiera (tel. 1530), and ARPAV (oaa@arpa.veneto.it).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2021–2024). EI95° 2.828; EI90° 2.361; EC95° 12.389; EC90° 8.389.

Risks

River mouths and shallow areas (Spighetta Vallona) are identified as causes of pollution. Municipal combined sewer system with emergency overflows and consortium collector present. Rainfall drainage pipes. Peschiera del Garda treatment plant discharges into the Mincio River in Lombardy Region.
