Gamla Örlenbadet

Gamla Örlenbadet is located on the southern edge of Lake Örlen, approximately 7 km east of Tibro. The bathing area features a sandy beach, extensive grass areas, jetties, and a diving tower. Lake Örlen covers approximately 1,400 hectares and drains northward via Örlan to Lake Viken.

Lake Örlen, approximately 1,400 hectares in area. Bottom substrate is sand. Drains northward via Örlan to Lake Viken. Primary drainage area is Motala ström, within the Southern Baltic Sea water district.

Location

Southern edge of Lake Örlen, approximately 7 km east of Tibro tätort. Parking and facilities available on-site.

Facilities

Two jetties, one with a diving tower featuring three platforms; four toilets, one accessible for disabled visitors; kiosk open 10:00–22:00 May to September; small playground; grass area with two football goals; two changing rooms.

Water Quality

Excellent water quality (Utmärkt kvalitet) for consecutive years: 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. No known pollution sources identified except minor risk from septic systems of surrounding summer cottages.
